Temperature surfing is a smart drying method that cycles the temperature inside your fridge between its minimum and your target temperature. Each cycle builds frost on the cooling element, pulling moisture out of the air and your buds.
The cycle has three phases: Cooling drives the fridge to its minimum temperature, Hold Cold keeps it there to build ice on the cooling element (trapping moisture), then Heating brings it back to your target. The frost melts and drains through the fridge's drainage hole.
After every few cycles, Plugger runs a humidity check — it holds at your target temperature and measures the actual humidity level. If drying is complete, it automatically switches to Hold mode. If not, it continues cycling until your target humidity is reached.
Plugger runs a one-time calibration to discover your fridge's minimum temperature and cooling time. It then auto-learns the heating margin to prevent overshoot, adapting to any refrigerator model — mini-fridge, full-size, or wine cooler.
